Weatherization Day 2007 Activities

Workshops on how to save energy


Franklin-Vance-Warren Opportunity, the Weatherization Assistance Program service provider for Franklin, Granville, Person, Vance and Warren counties held two workshops on how to save energy for Weatherization Day 2007. Energy saving information packets were distributed to potential clients.

Henderson and Transylvania Counties Now Accepting Applications for Weatherization Assistance



Release Date: October 4, 2007

October 30, 2007 is National Weatherization Day in the US. We would like to advise the public in Henderson and Transylvania counties that WCCA is now taking applications for assistance from our Weatherization Dept. for Weatherization work including insulating, air sealing, and tightening of dwellings. We are also taking applications for the Heating Appliance Repair or Replacement Program.

The work will be done from now until June 30, 2008 and is for low income persons/families who own or rent their homes. Applicants may contact Rhonda Maybin at 693-1711 or Stephanie O’Shields at 884-3220 to make an application appointment or for more information.
