Workshops on how to save energy


Franklin-Vance-Warren Opportunity, the Weatherization Assistance Program service provider for Franklin, Granville, Person, Vance and Warren counties held two workshops on how to save energy for Weatherization Day 2007. Energy saving information packets were distributed to potential clients.

The following Public Service Announcment was launched earlier this year and has run on local television and cable networks in the IPDC Service Area.

Wondering how to cut your energy bill and make your home warmer this winter? Cooler this summer? Weatherization helps make people warmer in the winter, cooler in the summer, saves energy and money. The best technologies in the field. The Department of Energy’s Weatherization Assistance Program may be able to help. The WAP/HARRP program this fiscal year were able to assist 100 units for Weatherization, plus repaired or replaced 50 heating & cooling units in the HARRP program. WAP measures can save 12 to 20% annually on your energy burden in the home.
